It should be interesting to see how D&D online develops. I can't say that i'll necessarily play it, unless it happens to be an outstanding game. I like D&D, but the thing I really love about the game is the face-to-face itneraction I get with the game, alot of times the rules can be a bit shaky.

So what ruleset is this going to be based on? 3.5?

heh detroit.. but well our DnD games usually run 8-10 people + girlfriends. so a simple pizza stop can easly turn into a wallgreens candy raid.

We have usually between 6-8 people... the girlfriends/wives don't hang out with us when we game.

DDO has started Alpha testing. I am hoping to get into the second round of alpha or the start of beta. At least in Beta, you'll avoid those nasty monthy fees. LOL

I'll convince one of my friends to get it and then use there account. A $10 a month fee costs you $120 a year +$50 the first year. For $120 I could go buy a console or at least 2 other brand new games. It may only be 1 hours worth of work but the cost is just to high.

i have been following ddo news for a while now and even though i do not usualy pay for games ... making 100 dollars a week makes it unrealistice payin a monthly fee.... but i am a huge D&D freak... i will probalby pick this game up (or try out a friends copy) seeings how my entrie group of friends plans on playing this for at least a little while...
i'm a little worried about how they are going to go about their combat system as i read soemwhere that they are trying to "get away from point click auto attack" also lack of xp for killing monsters "your xp will be gained by completeing missions, not all mission require force, a silver tounged party could fare better...." ok.. well honestly.... even if it wasn't much of an xp bonus, we still got one whne playing p&p D&D depending on how many #HD creaters you killed........
i see this game being either really realy good and connin me outta my hard earned cash each month.... or being really really bad.............. oh and i don't trust that november release date... they just started testing....

I'm curious about this game. I love D&D. I think a MMORPG D&D game would be alot of fun. I signed up for the beta. I hope I get in.
